A Guardian Spirit's Diary: Raising a Child

As a high-cold (violent-tempered) guardian spirit, Long doesn't know why he's become the guardian spirit of a monkey, especially when that monkey is so ugly and such a handful. A short story about raising a kid. It ends when the kid is seven. Content warning: The kid is probably a bit of a hellion. A combination of first-person diary entries and third-person narration. No outline. Writing as I go. Theme: There is always something in the world that exists just for you.
