The Little Drought Demon Enters the Nightmare Theater

At the very heart of the Level Five Contamination Zone, translucent, dazzling minerals and plants swollen with toxins shimmered beneath the cold daylight. In a nest-shaped "core" woven from multicolored minerals and shadowy plants, a curly-haired boy opened his eyes, revealing pale irises. His first action after waking was to move his mouth, biting twice at the uncomfortable object tucked beneath his tongue. The next second. "Ptooey!" Disgusting. The jade buried with him might have been top quality in the era when the boy died, but the passage of time had left it terribly brittle. A light tap from his two fangs crumbled it to dust. The boy arched his back and sat bolt upright, smashing a large hole in the nest's overhead shade with his forehead. Moss, minerals, and various unidentifiable bits came tumbling down with his repeated spits. Like a cat splashed with water, the boy sprang up. Before more debris could land on him, he shot out of the nest that had held him for who knew how many years, landing steadily on the flat ground. But the next second, when the cold daylight fell directly into his pale eyes, he was at a loss. As a creature born to darkness, he instinctively disliked daylight. Even though it couldn't harm him in the slightest. That feeling of aversion was simply innate. The boy lifted a hand, so white it was almost transparent, and covered his eyes. Think of it as an infinite-flow story blending Chinese-style horror and the grotesque. The protagonist is a young drought demon, and the story is lighthearted for the most part, not too scary.
