The protagonist is the younger brother of Yaku Morisuke, a third-year libero at the original Nekoma High School.

They are ten years apart. When the protagonist enters high school, it lines up with the scene of adult Yaku in the manga, at age 26.

Since the story takes place ten years after the Haikyuu Monster Generation, there will be many original characters.

Yaku Seiya is in the same year as Tetsu-san, and will likely make it to Koshien in the same year as Miyuki and Kuramochi, during their second year.

When Seiya first enrolls, he's a shortstop. Together with Kominato Ryosuke, he forms the strongest middle infield duo at Seido.

He's an all-around player who isn't attached to any one position. He goes wherever he's needed and does whatever the coach tells him.

A reassuring presence you can count on: Yaku Seiya.

(He used to be a libero for Nekoma, which is set as a powerhouse school. He won the Best Libero award, and his final game in his third year of middle school was the national championship.)

(Because Mei is interested in baseball, even though he learned volleyball from his older brother and achieved some success, he still likes baseball.)
