Edogawa Rie has social anxiety, so her friends at the detective agency gave her a dating game, "Romance with the Men of Jujutsu," to help her practice socializing. And so Rie began her journey to win people over despite her social anxiety.
On her first playthrough, unfamiliar with how the game worked, Rie was randomly turned into a half-curse. In a panic, she clung to a group of high school boys from Jujutsu High to lower her curse-corruption level. Just when the corruption finally seemed to stabilize, one of them killed her on the very day she was bringing a cake to celebrate with her friends at the school.
What's wrong with you, Geto? So the plot had a scripted death hidden here!
On her second playthrough, Edogawa Rie studied the game carefully and chose to be a shrine maiden. She had both status and combat ability. Her target was Sukuna, a notoriously difficult route, but after finally managing to get along with him and travel together, and even standing against her own family to protect him, his stats shot up so quickly that Edogawa Rie was nearly moved to tears.
Then she died horribly in a clash between Sukuna and her family. As she stared at the GG on the screen, Edogawa Rie wept.
So why did I get a bad ending again!
On her third playthrough, Rie refused to give up. The strongest class in the game, Heavenly Restriction, had to be able to get her a happy ending, right? Believing that overwhelming force could overcome any obstacle, Rie finally experienced the joy of being a fighter. She punched rotten oranges and kicked curses, only to be killed by Ryomen Sukuna in Shibuya while protecting innocent people.
As the pink-haired curse's astonished gaze flashed past, Rie gradually faded away in the wind, leaving behind a sorrowful wide-screen face.
I was killed by the kid I raised last playthrough!! Could anything be more ridiculous!
After completing every bad ending in the game, Rie sadly put it away and decided to return to work at the Armed Detective Agency. But then she saw the agency's new client: a white-haired, blue-eyed special-grade jujutsu sorcerer, who waved at her.
"Long time no see, Rie."
Oh, oh wow. The worlds have merged.
A few reading tips:
1. The game's System is mainly inspired by Cultist Simulator, and includes lots of strange quotations.
2. The original setting is very elaborate. The heroine is timid, socially anxious, and adorable, but she's also pretty difficult to deal with in some ways. She's a very conflicted person.
3. Updates are irregular. My current goal is to finish quickly (collapses).
4. Before writing this, I didn't realize how ill-suited I was to writing a forceful character like Sukuna, so the second playthrough turned out very badly. Best not to read it.
