Two high school freshmen become enemies after an accident. Each thinks it's just their bad luck, and assumes they'll never see each other again. But neither expects to end up at the same high school, assigned to the same class, and, by sheer coincidence, seated at the same desk.
Neither expects to fall for the person sitting next to them. The girl is an excellent student, while the boy is at the bottom of his class. Wanting to attend the same university as her, he works hard in his senior year. She wants him to get into the same university too, so she tutors him. But he is still a poor student, and soon the college entrance exams arrive.
The boy plans to confess to her that day, but after the exams, the girl has already left. Just as they both think they have missed their chance, the exam results come out. Luckily, they have both gotten into the same university. The boy calls the girl and tells her, and they're both overjoyed. In their second year of college, they end their five-year-long secret crushes and begin a sweet older-girl-younger-boy romance. The girl is a year older than the boy.
