Alvis was cursed from the moment he was born. After his death, his soul would be turned into a beautiful doll by the Demon King Canapona and displayed every day on her bed of blood and bones. Alvis absolutely detested that wicked demon, so he had to fight back against her, while also looking for a way to break the damn curse on him.
So Mr. Alvis spent a full thirty years working for free at the Holy Church. If not for his naturally snarky face, he might have become a Holy Son or something by now, singing in the bright church and winning the faith of a crowd of fanatics, instead of memorizing obscure incantations and hacking away at hideous demons with a greatsword.
Of course, this story doesn't begin with Alvis's shabby childhood. There's nothing worth mentioning there. It all begins when Alvis meets that mysterious young man from the East.
