Bungo Stray Dogs: The Sheep's Secret

When Bai Lai woke up, he found himself in the future, turned into a tiny six-year-old.

As one of Heian-kyo's most famous onmyoji, and also a half-yokai born of a human and a yokai, he had always gotten along well with both humans and yokai.

Who could have known that his friend Seimei would eventually split in two and turn evil, and that Bai Lai would be caught in the crossfire while trying to stop the Dark Seimei?

He never imagined he'd have the chance to wake up again.

But in this world they called the modern era, the gods were almost nowhere to be found, and the yokai were so pitifully crowded out that they had nowhere to live!

Bai Lai had always been unable to bear seeing people or yokai look at him so pitifully. With a long, pained sigh, he took in the little yokai and rescued a boy named Ara, who might have been his friend's illegitimate child.

He had been worrying about how to help the little yokai when he discovered he had a special ability, which modern people called an Ability.

His Ability, called [Sheepdog], could give the little yokai human bodies.

How could this so-called Ability know he was a half-breed between a dog yokai and a human? :)

From then on, Bai Lai's days were spent constantly reminding the little yokai not to accidentally shed their human disguises, and especially not to use their yokai powers. He didn't want his whole organization to be made up of so-called Ability Users!

And you two, Yuzu An and Shengo! Don't lead the little yokai off to steal human liquor just because you want a drink! You've taken human form, so at least act like humans!

Chuya, you don't have to let that black-hearted Port Mafia boss threaten you! You're the only one among the Sheep who is closest to being human! You're the only one left who can kill yokai, Bai Lai!

Get back here!

Bai Lai was terrified that the kids he'd raised with so much effort would run off with someone else, and practically had to drag them back.

Damn it, he used to have to look after Seimei, and after finally getting reincarnated, he still has to take care of Ara, his friend's "illegitimate child," and all the other little yokai. What is he, some kind of cursed dad-mom?!
