Chi Lang is exceptionally capable, and there's no trap he can't break. Many people in the Association think he must have had an extraordinary master.
Chi Lang thinks so too. The problem is, he's lost his memory and has no idea who his master was.
Chi Lang spends his days showing off, taking jobs, making money, and squeezing his employees. He's carefree and happy as can be.
After falling in love at first sight with Dr. Lou, whom he meets by chance, he adds one more thing to his daily routine: shamelessly chasing after Lou Shu. He swears he'll win him over.
Then one day, a bombshell drops: Lou Shu is the master Chi Lang has forgotten for years!
So Chi Lang puts all his feelings away and dutifully returns to their master-and-disciple relationship, not daring to cross the line.
During their next attempt to break a trap, he takes a calamity meant for his master. Knowing he doesn't have long to live, he hides in some remote corner to wait for death.
But his master finds him and kicks the door open.
"What are you hiding for? Come home with me."
Setting: Traps are formed from people's obsessions. Once a trap takes shape, it draws in innocent people and traps them forever.
Spirit Fishing: A method Chi Lang invented after losing his memory, so he wouldn't lose himself in traps that were vanishing.
P.S.
1. Update schedule: Slow updates before signing with a publisher while I build up a backlog. Three chapters a day afterward, if I can get a deal. I'll take time off when needed. The author is short on chapters, so please don't mind.
2. Chi Lang is the bottom, and Lou Shu is the top. Both protagonists are standard-issue grown men who have never been in a relationship. Their ages are somewhere between a thousand and a hundred years old.
3. There are lots of original worldbuilding details, and a little supernatural content, but not much.
Finally, thanks to everyone reading. I hope you enjoy the story.
Theme: Keep going, and you'll find hope.
I just found this article. It's very nice. Don't be discouraged.
Hahahahahaha what a coincidence
