Dynasties and War
A sinister emperor VS a bloodthirsty general
[Synopsis:]
The official histories record:
He destroyed the Heavenly Way, cast aside human decency, razed the imperial city, and looked down on all beneath the sky. With a Heaven-Breaking Halberd in his hand and a mountain of bones beneath his feet, he lived as he pleased, killed the innocent indiscriminately, scorned imperial favor, and recognized no one but himself.
Retribution came swiftly. He died in a military coup in the fourth year of Yuanding, and his body was never found. He later became a vengeful ghost, with a hideous face and bared fangs, haunting the old battlefield, wandering and weeping through the night, forever without a home.
The unofficial histories record:
From childhood, he had a bizarre disposition and a wayward temper. When he came of age and took office, he defied his father's wishes, refused to marry, and began keeping male companions, indulging in love between men. From the second year of Tianshou onward, his military achievements were unrivaled, and he rose to the highest ranks. Only then did he dare covet the emperor, flaunting his accomplishments to curry favor. Defying all convention, he openly declared his love in court, shocking the world.
The emperor consented, granting him a waist token and the right to enter the imperial harem.
The general began entering the palace.
From then on, nights filled with passion became the norm. This continued until the general was defeated at Tuanan Ridge, where his thirty thousand elite soldiers were wiped out. The emperor flew into a rage, ordered his men to search for the general's body for a thousand miles, took away his seal of command, demoted him to a convict slave, stripped him of office and title, confiscated his estate, and executed his entire clan.
Notes:
1. The main characters aren't perfect. The emperor is the bottom, and the general is the top.
2. The male lead is wolfish in nature but doglike in personality. Their relationship is a love-and-hate affair, with both genuine love and genuine murder.
3. The sweet treats are very sweet, and the darlings are very well-behaved. They miss each other when apart, and bicker whenever they're together.
