I Heard the Marquis Wants a Divorce

At the Marquis of Zhenbei's residence, the servants were buzzing with gossip: "I heard the marquis is going to divorce his wife?" "No way! I heard his wife is a breathtaking beauty. The marquis fell in love with her at first sight and went to great lengths to marry her. Would he really let her go now?" "You said it yourself, you only heard a rumor. The marquis has been married for seven years, and his wife has lived at another residence the whole time. Have any of you actually seen her?" "True. Living apart as a married couple is bound to cause problems." Rumors were spreading throughout the marquis's household, and naturally, the marquise, Shen Suyi, had heard them. So be it if they divorced. Marriage was like drinking water: only you knew whether it was hot or cold. Without the title of marquise, she still had money, a filial son, and new friends. Her life was more than comfortable. When the marquis heard she wanted a divorce, he kept a straight face and showed no reaction. "How is Madam? Send a doctor to the other residence immediately, in case she is overcome with grief." "M-Marquis, Madam went out sightseeing." "Who told her? Drag them out and beat them to death." "...Marquis, it was the young heir. He also said he'd protect Madam, and that she shouldn't be sad. If they divorce, then so be it." "?!"
