Pampered After Marriage

Song Li's dream:

To be a lazy fish who eats and waits for death.

Her dream should have been easy to achieve. The Song family was wealthy and well-established among the upper circles, and even if Song Li wasn't the heir, she could live a comfortable life.

But then came the news that the Song Group had gone bankrupt.

Song Li was horrified. Was her lazy-fish dream about to die?

So when her father proposed that she marry Xu Zewang for the sake of an alliance, Song Li agreed without hesitation.

Xu Zewang was a renowned figure in Haishi: cool, distinguished, and impeccably respectable.

Song Li believed that even if theirs was a loveless business marriage, he would make sure she had everything she needed.

She could be a happy lazy fish after all!

Song Li married Xu Zewang and moved into the Xu family home.

Nobody inside or outside their circle thought the marriage would last. They were all just waiting to see when Song Li and Xu Zewang would divorce.

But instead of news of a divorce, people saw a paparazzi video posted online.

Locked out of their hotel room, the man had lost his usual cool, distinguished air. Looking regretful, he sent a voice message on his phone.

"Lili, I was wrong. Let me in."
