I'm Miyazawa Yu, a badass police cadet.
Recently, to get dirt on some international troublemaking organization that killed my parents, I volunteered for the job and raced all the way from Tokyo to Nagano, determined to see what kind of monsters this criminal organization was.
Here, I met the kind and welcoming Morofushi family. They were all wonderful. By the way, Mrs. Morofushi's cooking is incredibly good. Seeing that I was so young and had lost my mother, and that after a hard day's work I had no meal waiting for me, kind Mrs. Morofushi always warmly invited me over for dinner. I'd pretend to refuse, then excitedly take up residence at the Morofushis' dining table.
I may be shameless, but I couldn't freeload forever without doing anything. So I used my money to buy the Morofushi family all kinds of things, and before long I was close with their two kids.
What can I say? Besides being smart and rich, I have nothing.
Unfortunately, the good times didn't last. Since I still had no useful leads, the people back in Tokyo started calling me home. On the day I left, I clung to Mrs. Morofushi's waist and wailed so loudly it shook the heavens. I was only one word away from calling her Mom.
I left them a bunch of ways to contact me, afraid they wouldn't be able to reach me, then reluctantly left my mom (not really).
At first, Mrs. Morofushi would call to check if I was eating well, but suddenly, we lost touch.
After all the letters I sent went unanswered, I decided to go to Nagano and see what was going on. Before that, I got stabbed by a criminal while doing a good deed.
Then I saw little Hiromitsu at the hospital, receiving psychological counseling.
Me: ...
What the hell happened!!!! What happened to my mom!!!!
I excitedly ran around in front of little Hiromitsu, nearly getting dragged away by a security guard who thought I was crazy.
Since I was too young and wasn't related to them, I couldn't get custody of little Hiromitsu and little Takaaki. But that didn't mean I couldn't go bother (crossed out) visit them in my free time.
And that's how I met another blond little firecracker. The kid got into fights every day and could take on a whole crowd without losing. I liked him a lot.
That's my boy. You've got your big sister's spirit. It'd be a shame if you didn't become a boxer.
But then the kid became a police officer. And, even more coincidentally, I saw him and little Hiromitsu at the organization where I was undercover.
Me: ...
"They walked against the light, moving forward without hesitation."
"Warnings"
The female lead is a genius, living out a tragic-but-powerful heroine's story.
She isn't a good person in the traditional sense. Her sense of morality and justice applies only to people she considers good.
Some characters who were supposed to die get to live. Hagiwara is alive and well, and the eight-tentacled bastard gets a thoroughly satisfying death.
The romance is up to fate.
Theme: Study hard and make progress every day.
