The Male Supporting Character Wants to Fake His Death Every Day

Gu Chi accidentally learns that he is a cannon-fodder male supporting character in a book, a tool meant to move the plot forward. As long as he dies, he can return to his original world. No wonder he was terrible at everything. Even when he did a good job, he was always ignored. He tried desperately to please his family, but they only cared about his older brother, Gu Weiqian. It turns out Gu Weiqian is the protagonist of this book, while Gu Chi is the utterly ordinary, useless younger brother who exists to make his brother shine, forever stuck in second place. Useless Gu Chi says: Fine, he's done with this. He wants to go home and be happy! So Gu Chi starts doing whatever he wants every day, repeatedly dancing on the brink of death. He only cares about enjoying himself, and even carries on right in front of Shen Ciyu, the book's biggest villain. But as he keeps acting out, Gu Chi discovers that his brother is looking at him more and more strangely. The people who were supposed to be in his brother's harem, the protagonist's fishpond, are also saying weird things to him. Fish 1: Gu Chi, do you know what my weakness is? You. I have a weakness for you. Fish 2: Everyone else is just worldly noise, but you are the morning star guiding me forward. Even the big villain Shen Ciyu is looking at him more and more strangely, with a disturbing, obsessive, almost sickening infatuation. Then, one day... Clutching his aching waist, Gu Chi backs away in terror across a room covered in soft carpets. "Y-you, don't come any closer!" Shen Ciyu grabs his tender, pale ankle, wrapped in golden chains, and slowly pulls him toward himself, leaving no room for refusal. "Good Chi Chi, I'm not coming over. You're coming to me." Gu Chi is on the verge of tears. This isn't the kind of courting death he wanted!
