Miss Sakamoto's Scientific Life

Class 2-B at Egoda High had a transfer student who became the talk of the entire school the moment the term began. She did chores with such effortless cool, ate lunch with such effortless cool, and even stood in the hallway as punishment with the same effortless cool. Every gesture radiated cool! So cool! The coolest! Miss Sakamoto, who took handsomeness and nonchalance to the extreme, conquered every student in her grade in less than a week and became the school's number-one sensation. Kuroba Kaito, last year's school sensation and the one whose spotlight had just been stolen, looked at her askance. "...Who is this?" ** Kaitou Kid once again made the front page with his superb magic performance. Kuroba Kaito smirked at the newspaper. "Gigigigigi!" But not a single classmate was talking about Kaitou Kid. They each held a newspaper in one hand and a magnifying glass in the other, eagerly discussing the image magnified on the page: Miss Sakamoto's heroic rescue of a little bird while flying through the air. Kuroba Kaito: "..." Damn it! Didn't they promise to be lifelong Kid fans? How had they switched allegiances so fast? Theme: While striving constantly to grow stronger, we must also fulfill our responsibilities as the strong.
