Eating Watermelon

Lin Xueke is nine years old and in third grade. She's a little girl who grew up in the city, with snow-white skin and a face as soft and round as a rice dumpling. She's spoiled, fussy, and prone to tears. But this summer, her parents take her to the countryside.

Day one in the countryside: She sees an old wooden house overrun with weeds and bursts into tears, her vision going black.

Day two in the countryside: All the fish and shrimp in this river are jumping right into this princess's basin!

Day three in the countryside: She goes up the mountain to tease monkeys, then chases chickens and dogs.

Day N in the countryside: From one end of town to the other, ask around and find out who's boss.

How to turn a little princess into a little landlord in three months.

Zhou Tong is ten years old and in fourth grade. He was living in the idyllic countryside with his housekeeper to recuperate, keeping to himself and feeling a little gloomy, until one day a little whirlwind barged into his life. She dragged him off to pick foxtail grass, secretly used her dad's astronomical telescope, and went out in the rain without an umbrella...

That's when he discovered:

Watermelon chilled in well water really is that sweet.
