Stealing Pleasure Beneath the Snow

Si Xue had two secrets. First: She was in love with the Duke's heir. Second: She was having an affair with a servant in the household. By day, she was meek and obedient in front of the heir. At night, she was the one in control. She took out all the grievances she'd suffered during the day on the servant, digging her nails into his shoulders and back as she whispered seductively, "Do you like it?" "Ah... I do." Si Xue wasn't even a household-born servant, and she had no chance with the Duke's heir. Since she was bound to be paired off with a servant anyway, she decided to pick one herself: a handsome man she could easily control. She handed over all her monthly wages, and he obeyed her in everything. Then one day, Si Xue realized they might be the same person. She thought about how she usually bossed that servant around. Panicking, she fled in the middle of the night. * While learning the art of disguise, Song Chengxiao took an interest in a third-class maid. He had only meant to sample what the maid had to offer and improve his disguises along the way. So even when she acted a little willful and spoiled, he treated it as a pleasant diversion and didn't hold it against her. She was just a convenient plaything. The moment he got bored of her, he could toss her aside. Until Song Chengxiao realized she might have someone else in her heart. How could this be? So when she shared his bed, was she thinking of another man? As he tried to find out who her beloved was, the maid ran away. She left a letter for the "servant" saying: Let's just consider ourselves a brief fling, and go our separate ways from now on. Hah. She says it was just a fling, and that's that? Does she really think she can have the final say? Song Chengxiao burned the letter to ashes. (Basically, it's a melodramatic story about a man and a woman who each think they're playing the other, only to end up falling for each other.) The premise has changed. I couldn't find inspiration for the previous one. Posted on 20250525 Theme: Finding beauty in difficult times.
