A chatterbox, drama-loving, scheming little bunny * a down-and-out, calculating, lie-flat former crown prince
Bo Ying, a minor author, accidentally transmigrates into a book, landing in the unfinished palace melodrama she wrote herself.
She isn't the soft and sweet heroine, nor the wicked villainess.
Instead, she becomes a fluffy, docile, adorable little chubby rabbit.
And as luck would have it, her owner is none other than the book's down-and-out cannon-fodder male supporting character, the deposed crown prince Xun Lin.
After being automatically bound to the "Male Supporting Character Comeback System," she is told that only if her target becomes obsessive and villainous and pursues his ambitions can she accumulate "hatred points" and return to reality.
But Xun Lin turns out to be a laid-back Buddhist type whose specialty is doing nothing.
With the irritable System constantly threatening to "go down in a blaze of glory" and get them both killed off,
Bo Ying works diligently every day, chopping wood, cooking, tending to his every need, and bombarding him with motivational talks to inspire him to get back on his feet and make a comeback.
She also has to stay on edge at all times, terrified that one day Xun Lin, who loves spicy food and sesame paste, will be in a bad mood and send her to the kitchen to be cooked three ways!
Then one day, Bo Ying suddenly transforms into a human, and looks exactly like Xun Lin's beloved fiancée from the book.
In the flickering candlelight, his eyes darken slightly, his smile tender and affectionate.
From then on, Bo Ying changes up her approach to winning him over.
She drops down in front of Xun Lin, her eyes glistening with affection, and calls out in a sweet voice, "Your Highness, my heart hurts..."
Reading Guide:
1. Transmigrating into a book + an irritable hand-me-down System (often malfunctioning and not appearing very often), with a fake-replacement trope. The heroine is not a replacement.
2. A one-on-one, illogical, silly, sweet romance. It portrays the original male and female leads negatively. If you don't like that, please steer clear. No writing advice, please.
3. My first attempt at a lighthearted historical transmigration story. The writing is simple, with humorous parodies.
Theme: Even in adversity, a new path will open up
