At seventeen, Xu Hao transfers to Nan Hang No. 1 High School and meets her neighbor, Bai Ziyu. She discovers that he is the person who made her fall in love at first sight at Muxi Temple all those years ago.
At a friend's birthday party, someone asks her what it feels like to fall in love. Remembering the silhouette beneath the setting sun, she smiles and says, "Amid the red-orange dusk, he was the most breathtaking sight in the world."
They promise to attend the same university.
The gentle, moon-bright boy runs into the city in the middle of the night to buy her the big dog she likes, just to make her happy. He turns a patch of wasteland on his family's property into a garden and plants her favorite blue hydrangeas.

At the start of the new year, with the first toll of the bell, he takes her hand and chuckles. "I've been with you for so long without a name or a promise. Do I seem like the kind of person who'd put up with being treated unfairly?"
When her grandmother passes away, he hears the news and comes without being asked. His heart aches for her, and he tells her, "I don't know if my being here will help, but I want to be by your side right now."
She knows no one could be better than him.
Bai Ziyu simply wants to use all his warmth to keep a butterfly from flying away.
