A Twisted Obsession

An accident left Yun Ran with a brain injury and no memories. When she woke up, she was timid, innocent, soft, and sweet. She was afraid to meet strangers, but whenever she saw Shu Liyang, she would obediently smile and try to please him.

Shu Liyang was aloof and stern, and used to living alone. When he first brought Yun Ran home, he thought she was a burden and kept wanting to send her away.

When Yun Ran heard about this, she secretly wiped away her tears behind his back.

Shu Liyang was most afraid of women crying. He gave in and said, "Tell me, what will it take to make you stop crying?"

Yun Ran's eyes were as red as a little rabbit's. She tugged at his sleeve and begged, "I-I'm really good, sob... I don't eat much either. Could you please not send me away?"

As if in a daze, Shu Liyang really did keep her with him.

But later, someone came to take Yun Ran away.

His friends congratulated Shu Liyang: "Your wish finally came true! Come on, let's celebrate."

Shu Liyang furrowed his brow and said nothing.

In the noisy private room, Shu Liyang's gaze kept drifting to the little rabbit charm on his phone. He was distracted all night.

Yun Ran especially loved staying by Shu Liyang's side. Although he looked fierce, she always felt safe with him.

Yun Ran thought that if she behaved herself, Shu Liyang wouldn't send her away.

But a wolf's den was no place for a rabbit, so when someone came to take Yun Ran home, she sensibly moved out of Shu Liyang's villa.

Everything in her new home was lovely, except Shu Liyang wasn't there.

Yun Ran told herself she had to get used to it. She might never see Shu Liyang again.

But the next day, Shu Liyang appeared in front of her, travel-worn, and held out his hand. "Let's go home."

In the days Yun Ran hadn't noticed, something had quietly changed.
