The Suspect Has Nine Husbands [Crime Investigation]

Yu Huan, a promising young lawyer famed throughout W City, was found brutally murdered at home, with a large patch of skin flayed from his back. Every clue pointed to his “secretly married” wife, Li Ying, the star host of the city radio station. Just as Li Ying was taken to the police station for questioning, seven outstanding young men appeared at the same time to provide her with alibis. No. 1: Xu Mu, one of the city’s top ten young entrepreneurs and an outstanding vice chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce. He pulled out a marriage certificate in front of Chen Wenmo, the head of the major crimes unit. “We got married three years ago. She was with me that night.” No. 2: Wang Xuanzhi, a national-level fencer and winner of three international gold medals. He also pulled out a marriage certificate. “That night, we celebrated our second wedding anniversary in the presidential suite, Room 416, at XX Hotel.” No. 3: A nationally renowned young actor and hugely popular online celebrity with twenty million fans. He pulled out a marriage certificate. “My wife visited me on set that night and brought her signature white fungus soup. The staff can confirm it.” No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7... After investigation, every marriage certificate turned out to be genuine! The head of the major crimes unit, Chen Wenmo, went berserk. “Li Ying, were you born a monster?” The woman across from him calmly looked up, took another marriage certificate from her bag, and opened it. It showed a large photograph of Chen Wenmo and herself. “Actually, you’re my husband too. We don’t have much time. We have only 24 hours to stop the next tragedy from happening.” Chen Wenmo: “The next one?” Li Ying: “My other eight husbands will all die, including you.” Nine marriage certificates, half a book made of human skin: is this a distortion of human nature, or the collapse of morality? A race against the clock to solve the case in 24 hours begins... Theme: Justice endures forever
