Some people are born with grand dreams. Lancelot Noyes's greatest dream, however, is to coast through life and do nothing until he dies.
His father is a goalkeeper coach, and thanks to him, Lancelot discovered at a very young age the perfect profession for making his dream come true.
A team's third-choice goalkeeper has to be the most suitable job in the world for him! As long as he writes a good profile, he can coast all the way to retirement!
With that in mind, Lancelot endured grueling youth training and all sorts of competitions, finally making it into the professional leagues.
From now on, he would do his utmost to be a good third-choice goalkeeper: no competing, no making waves, no exerting himself. He would gladly play second fiddle and wish every first- and second-choice goalkeeper well.
He also hoped that all first- and second-choice goalkeepers would stay healthy and remain in peak form forever!
Lancelot Noyes, born in 1998, joined Porto's youth academy at the age of eight. His father is a Porto goalkeeper coach (youth coach).
Lancelot Noyes was promoted to Porto B for the 2013-14 season and won the Portuguese Second Division title with the team that year (second-choice goalkeeper). He was promoted to Porto's first team for the 2014-15 season and won the Primeira Liga title with them (third-choice goalkeeper). For the 2015-16 season, he was loaned to Barcelona and won La Liga with them (third-choice goalkeeper).

With this profile, Lancelot Noyes knocked on the doors of Real Madrid.
Barcelona and Real Madrid may not get along, but no one would pay attention to the existence of a tiny backup goalkeeper like him. In the summer of 2016, Lancelot happily moved into Real Madrid's training ground.
But just as the first half of the season was drawing to a close, something unexpected happened.
Real Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper, Casillas, injured his hand and had to rest for several months. As luck would have it, the second-choice goalkeeper injured his back at the same time and wouldn't be able to play for a while.
Fate pushed Lancelot onto the stage. This would be his first match since becoming a third-choice goalkeeper...
After making a successful La Liga debut, keeping the Mattress Makers scoreless, and realizing he would have to play for at least two months before he could return to his peaceful life, Lancelot immediately asked to be transferred.
Everyone at Real Madrid: Has this kid finally realized he shouldn't waste his talent on the bench?
Lancelot: Having to play matches costs extra. Don't think you can get free labor out of me!
The newly appointed Zinedine Zidane: Be good. Real Madrid can give you every opportunity you want right now. At the very least, wait until the season's over. Once you have some big-match experience, you won't have to be the third-choice goalkeeper anymore.
Oh no! What a vicious curse! Lancelot used his lightning-fast reflexes to dart forward and cover Zidane's mouth.
In the Champions League, Lancelot ran into Juventus, led by the young Buffon. Shocked, he rushed over and circled Buffon twice.
Ramos couldn't bear to watch and pulled their little goalkeeper back. What are you going crazy for now?
Lancelot: I remember that he was already the first-choice goalkeeper when I first joined the youth academy!
Ramos: I remember Buffon had been Juventus's first-choice goalkeeper ever since he transferred there in 2001?
Lancelot: So, so Gigi's side is where I belong after all?!
[Alternate universe. Casillas is still on the team.]
