The Cement Factory Heiress: A Reality Show Chronicle

Upcoming novel: The Ultimate Variety Show Workhorse Fish. In a nutshell: She can eat a lot, she's strong, and she can catch seafood, but all she wants is to be a good camera operator. Blurb: Chen Tiantian's dad owned a cement factory. It wasn't renowned nationally, provincially, or even across the city, but in their hometown, it was famous far and wide. Want to grow the business and make it stronger? Then you need advertising! Chen's dad watched TV every day, dreaming of joining a branding campaign. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the two extra characters at the beginning of the contract. And so, through its own merits, Chen Cement became the sole sponsor of the Rural Brand Initiative, the variety show A Simple Life in the Countryside. Chen's dad, a man who always strove to be the best, sent the family's two star players: his daughter, Chen Tiantian, and their fierce dog, Chen Dazhuang. With her father's earnest hopes of revitalizing the family business and a crash course in variety shows, cement heiress Chen Tiantian joined the production, money and all... Chen Tiantian just wanted to ask: Are planting rice, building houses, running a street stall, and entering a square-dancing competition all normal variety-show activities? Everyone else: Other shows can't really do this, whatever the activity, they always end up bringing it back to Chen Cement, your one and only choice [thumbs-up] Years later, a highly rated question appeared on a certain Q&A site: How do you rate Director Yang's Simple Life series? In just over a month, it received more than a thousand useful replies and was selected as one of the Q&A site's top ten entertainment questions of the year. The most-liked review said: The Simple Life series isn't just a variety show. It was there for me through my entire youth. Upcoming novel: The Ultimate Variety Show Workhorse Fish [In a nutshell: She can eat a lot, she's strong, and she can catch seafood, but all she wants is to be a good camera operator.] Blurb: To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, Watermelon TV is proudly launching the live travel reality show The Traveler. The station director personally used his connections to invite a host of big names from the entertainment industry. Before filming began, a certain top-tier star suddenly had to drop out, leaving the super-famous award-winning actor originally paired with him alone on the very first day... The chief director had a sudden idea. He temporarily recruited Lu Xiaoyu, the camera assistant with the most auspicious-looking face in the crew, to partner with the actor. To become the first fish in the sea bass family with a proper job, Lu Xiaoyu gritted her teeth and agreed. Her unintentional stroke of luck created the Ultimate Variety Show Workhorse Fish. Even Lu Xiaoyu herself couldn't understand it. She'd only gone to fill in for someone, so how had she ended up unable to leave this path? When Lu Xiaoyu won the Variety Show Personality of the Year award, she was completely bewildered. Did anyone even remember that her actual job was camera operator? (Sob sob.) After The Traveler ended, the actor signed Lu Xiaoyu to his own company, making her the first camera operator (sea bass) to have a management company. Her work was simple: just accompany the actor's celebrity friends on all kinds of variety shows... She accompanied a veteran TV emperor on a street-food show. He attracted customers outside the food truck while she manned the wok inside. Before the show had even finished airing, she'd earned her cooking certificate and nearly been poached by a century-old restaurant... She accompanied a former top-tier star, who'd made a successful career change but grown even more socially anxious, on a cultural-experience show. She was forced to make a pledge: after the show ended, she'd study at home during the day and livestream herself reading at night, all under the watchful eyes of more than a million fans. By year's end, she'd successfully earned her bachelor's degree. Fans from every celebrity's fanbase came to watch and urged her to keep studying. There were still graduate school, a doctorate, and civil service exams ahead! Lu Xiaoyu cried as she became a better version of herself... A parenting show had finally managed to book a top-tier artist couple, but the two were suddenly called away to film a movie promoting mainstream values. Unable to turn down the favor, the celebrity couple asked Lu Xiaoyu to take their children to the recording instead. The problem was, the “little siblings” were older than her. So who was taking care of whom? This side job didn't just make fans envious. The celebrity friends of the big names were just as jealous, often crowding around her to ask for gossip while she was at work. In the end, every show would rather have Lu Xiaoyu appear than a celebrity who brought in more traffic. After all, with Little Sea Bass around, they might get a buy-one-get-N-celebrities-free blind box. Theme: Spread positive energy!
