An earthquake struck during a graduation ceremony that had only just ended. A tsunami as high as thirty meters claimed tens of thousands of lives, burying a group of young people and their dreams.
Yet in August 2010, in a New York hospital in another world, Sorai Tsuru opened his eyes.
Well, there was still a lot he hadn't figured out, but, first, let's play volleyball and win the national championship!
1. Volleyball story. This time it's at Shiratorizawa, before the original timeline.
2. The protagonist is a serious guy who thinks a lot but acts fast. “Thinks a lot” means racking his brain over how to balance his old flame (his former team) and his current one (the Shiratorizawa team he's with now). “Acts fast” means that if he sees someone feeling down and needing comfort, he'll pull them into a big hug right away. “My chest is broad, lean on me.” Judge for yourself how serious he is.
3. Point two may sound a little suggestive, but there's no romance. The Shiratorizawa team has nothing but genuine brotherhood and friendship. The author just likes to throw in some strange and funny vibes now and then.
4. His amnesia isn't just a throwaway backstory detail. The protagonist's memories are as important to the story as volleyball, and his exact circumstances will unfold as the plot progresses.
5. The final tournament will generally get at least 30,000 characters. Other matches will be shorter depending on their importance, though I'll write more if I think of an interesting scene. Since the protagonist transfers in unexpectedly, he'll have to wait six months before he can compete officially, so there'll be more everyday life and minor matches at the beginning.
Theme: Today, at last, I know who I am.
