Squirrel, or rather, Momonga, was the guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown in the game YGGDRASIL. In that cruel and oppressive modern world, the only times worth remembering were the moments he spent with his friends.
After decades together, he watched his companions leave one after another. All he could do was quietly guard the Great Tomb of Nazarick they had built together. At last, YGGDRASIL reached its end. Alone, he stared at the empty round table in silence, waiting for the game servers to shut down.
After discovering that all the NPCs had somehow gained independent consciousness, Momonga, the Ruler of Death, sitting in the Throne Room, was completely dumbfounded.
Huh?
Huh!!! Another world? You've got to be kidding me!!
That concludes the broad-strokes explanation. Momonga is a capable ruler, and scheming against thin air is unavoidable. But once he enters the world of The Rising of the Shield Hero, facing the Waves is inevitable. In this battered world, the heroes need to grow quickly to face the increasingly frequent Waves.
The heroes are summoned from another world. Could the nine worlds represented by the nine remaining leaves of the World Tree, YGGDRASIL, whose leaves were devoured, have something to do with this world?
If these are planes capable of crossing between worlds, what are the chances of everyone meeting? Monsters surging like a flood in the Waves, the Seven Star Heroes, dragons, and an unknown enemy coveting Nazarick.
Beware: everyone will be glorified as a mastermind. The author won't have any logical slip-ups here. A few classes draw inspiration from Lord of the Mysteries, but the core of Overlord remains. Since Ainz has the mindset of a doting father, he'll be every bit as cautious as he should be.
