My name is Vivian Axon, and I used to be a Muggle.
Why do I say I used to be one? Because now I'm a witch...
I woke up to find myself sitting on the train to Hogwarts?? Could anything be more absurd? Yes, it could: everyone around me was speaking English, and I couldn't understand a word.
Thank goodness for the nine years of compulsory education that put me through the wringer. At least I still have those basics to fall back on.
But...
"Vivian, why are you using the past progressive to express the future?"
"..."
I'm done for.
All right, it's time to be sorted. I remember the test I took on the official website said I belonged in Ravenclaw. Though I've always wanted to go to Gryffindor...
The Sorting Hat: "Slytherin!"
Wait!? Slytherin? Sorting Hat, are you sure you got that right?
Fine, Slytherin it is, but on one condition...
Why is my old classmate Tom Riddle? Aaah!!
Am I a half-blood, or a Muggle?? This is bad, this is really bad. Is the Dark Lord going to drag me into the Chamber of Secrets???
Am I going to be doomed from the start?
Merlin's beard, after all that, this isn't even the main plot.
While everyone else is happily learning magic, gossiping, and dating at Hogwarts, I'm...
"Help! Can someone help me with my English? I can't understand the History of Magic reading! Can someone add phonetic notes to the spells in my Charms textbook?"
So the thoughtful, clever, studious Riddle learned Chinese, then came over to teach you English.
So Voldemort used to be a good person.
Yes, I'm a fake Slytherin who loves studying (but a real Ravenclaw).
"Hello, Axon. I hope you'll join us."
I take back what I said. He's just a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"Follow you? No thanks, Riddle. I know you're handsome and good at school, but I'm not looking to date right now."
Riddle smiled with practiced composure.
Riddle decided you weren't useful and promptly ignored you.
Thank you, Riddle, for being a good person for once.
Then the main plot began. You graduated, too, and decided to retire and enjoy your golden years.
Then... you discovered a problem.
Everyone else was married and raising kids, while you still looked like you were seventeen.
Meow? What the heck?
Vivian, heartbroken, clasped her friend's hand.
"Vivian, when I'm gone, I'm leaving my child in your care."
And so the child grew up and got married.
How the hell was my Vivian still seventeen when the kid already had grandchildren?
I get it. I have to live until the main plot begins, right?
Years later, Riddle started causing trouble again.
And so our protagonist, Harry Potter, was born!
Auntie Vivian was overwhelmed with gratitude.
Little Harry looked at her in confusion. "Who are you?"
"I'm Vivian, a witch who can help you make your wish come true." Damn it, hurry up and grow up! I don't want to keep waiting around!
After Harry started his second year, Riddle started causing trouble again.
Vivian looked at the words appearing in the diary: I am Tom.
She picked up a quill and wrote: Hello, Tom. I'm Axon.
The old diary was confused: Axon's granddaughter?
Vivian continued: No, I am Vivian Axon. Long time no see, Riddle. Thank you for all those years of hard work teaching me English.
The diary was stunned.
Just as the main plot was about to end and Vivian thought she could finally leave, their Chosen One suddenly took her hand. "I've always loved you, Vivian. Let's be together."
Vivian: Excuse me? What kind of outrageous thing are you saying?
(The above is all from Vivian's point of view.)
[I suddenly feel like writing an immortal witch raising a child, even though I still haven't finished the plot ideas I've already started.]
Reader's guide:
1. The male lead is Harry, not Voldemort (a little lion who loves Gryffindor).
2. The early part has her as a classmate of Riddle, but it won't take up much of the story.
3. Updates are irregular. I'll write whenever I get an idea.
4. The characters may be out of character, but I'll try to avoid that.
Theme: Study hard, and don't be illiterate
Slughorn: Tom, you are not allowed to copy Vivian's papers again! Tom:???
This dream made me laugh so hard hahahahahahahaha
This dream hahahahahahahahahaha
Wow wow wow, I almost forgot its setting, let's watch it again
Hahahahahaha attributive clauses and advanced vocabulary, don't scold, don't scold, the child's composition score is already at the limit.
