[A self-indulgent practice story. Please check the content warnings first. Weibo: Queque A]
After Wen Jue’s parents died in an accident, she went from being a pampered little princess to being forced to take over Hackson.
The people at Hackson wanted to devour her alive.
At her parents’ funeral, Shang Fuxiao held a black umbrella to shield her from the rain, took her hand, and made a show of walking with her in public.
“From now on, I’ll handle the people at Hackson for you.”
Wen Jue: “What do you want?”
Shang Fuxiao: “You.”
*
Shang Fuxiao was the “Undying” legend of the West District.
He had single-handedly built a shipping empire that rivaled Hackson, the “Undying” legend, with commercial routes spanning the globe.
There was no denying his devastatingly handsome face, which countless women wanted to claim for themselves.
No one expected Shang Fuxiao to take Wen Jue away from the funeral and dote on and indulge her, serving his little princess at every turn.
One day, Wen Jue leaned against the sofa and watched him send a woman away. “I’m curious. What kind of love potion have you been giving them?”
Shang Fuxiao held a cigarette and gave her an inscrutable look.
She grabbed his tie and leaned in, bringing them closer. “I want to try some too.”
Shang Fuxiao pulled her over and settled her securely on his lap, then chuckled. “I might as well have ‘Wen Jue’s exclusive property’ written on my forehead. Who’d dare?”

Tips:
1. There’s an age gap of about seven or eight years. The beginning is on the sweet side, but there are twists and turns, and plenty of melodrama. Happy ending.
2. This is mainly about two adults navigating their relationship. There is no groveling-after-a-breakup plot, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this may not be for you.
3. If you only read stories with chaste leads, please skip this. The male lead has a past, but once they’re together, he’s faithful in both body and heart.
4. All shipping routes in this story are fictional and do not reflect reality.
5. If you don’t like it, close the page and find something you do like. Let’s respect each other. Love and peace, thank you.
6. The second half of the blurb doesn’t appear in the main story. I forgot to include it, QAQ.
7. This is mainly a self-indulgent story for finding like-minded readers. Please don’t overanalyze it.

Upcoming novel: Hard to Bear
[Secret crush + rekindled romance]
Cheng Er didn’t like Jiacheng. It was dirty and rainy, the sky hung low beneath thick clouds, and even the air carried a lingering moldy smell.
Before she met He Rangxiao, she didn’t believe Jiacheng had any light in it.
The first time they met, she was carrying bottled water upstairs when a boy leaning against the wall caught her eye.
He was tall and slender, his black windbreaker hanging casually from his broad, lean shoulders, its collar turned up around his chin. His eyelashes lowered as he spoke arrogantly. “Damn, someone splashed paint on my house again.”
Green paint dripped down the door and wound its way toward the boy’s black sneakers.
Hearing Cheng Er’s footsteps, the boy raised his eyes and gave her a discreet once-over. His thin lips moved as he snarled, “What are you looking at? Never seen a scumbag get hunted down for cheating?”
*
One late night, Cheng Er came home and ran into He Rangxiao again, locked out of his house. The boy leaned against the wall, hunched over as he fiddled with his phone.
She slowed her steps as she passed him.
He Rangxiao put his phone away, lifted his eyes, and stared at her pretty shoulder blades.
Cheng Er suddenly stopped, gathering her courage. “Do you want to come to my place... to charge your phone?”
He Rangxiao straightened up, his tall shadow nearly enveloping her.
He leaned down close to her, his breath brushing her ear as he said casually, “Think it through. If you take me home, there’s no chance to regret it.”
