Mu Tao and her boyfriend Cheng Xiao accept an invitation to join an expedition and enter the Bizarre Forest, a place rumored to be full of terrifying ghost stories.

When one of the expedition members encounters a supernatural incident, everyone begins to panic. But the rumored treasure is more alluring than their fear, and no one intends to give up.

Because Cheng Xiao gets cold feet, Mu Tao has no choice but to leave the group with him in the middle of the night. As they flee, they come across a terrifying monster. Her cowardly, useless boyfriend doesn't hesitate to use her as a human shield, shoving her in front of the monster...

Unfortunately, the monster has no interest in prey already within reach. It abandons Mu Tao and goes after Cheng Xiao, eventually devouring him, skin and bones.

Her boyfriend is dead. Mu Tao makes her way back to the expedition, battered and bruised. As the others exchange suggestive, suspicious glances, she says nothing. Then, the next day, her dead boyfriend returns. No one else notices anything strange, but Mu Tao knows it's a monster wearing her boyfriend's skin.

The Bizarre Forest has not sensed a living human for a long time. The monsters hide in the shadows, coveting the fresh food, but without the Demon Lord's permission, none of them dares take a bite. All they can do is stir up trouble and scare the humans.

But one monster breaks the rules and devours a human. The Demon Lord punishes it. What the monsters cannot understand is that the Demon Lord takes the dead man's form and mingles with the humans. They think the Demon Lord intends to keep them all for himself, but it turns out he only wants one person all to himself.

Monster One: Is the Demon Lord in the mood for [redacted]? Looking for a human to [redacted]?

Monster Two: He touched the Demon Lord's horns. That means he agreed to [redacted].

After getting her scumbag boyfriend killed, Mu Tao is showered with attentions and advances by her new monster boyfriend. She decides to put him to the test.

Mu Tao: "You like me? Then turn back into your true form."

"As you wish." The Demon Lord transforms into a stunning figure with silver hair, red eyes, and horns.

Mu Tao: "Kneel down. I want to see the horns on your head... Can I touch them?"

"Of course." The Demon Lord kneels on one knee and lowers his noble head, letting the human before him touch his distinctive horns.

Mu Tao's health bar is completely depleted. The horns are not only beautiful, they glow, too. She has to find a way to make them hers.
