In the year 2667 of the Gregorian calendar, zombies invaded large areas of Earth.
Many people had already lost their lives to them.
There was an organization called Gemu that specialized in clearing out zombies. Its members were exceptional in every regard, but they rarely went on missions.
The organization had a rule against wasting its talent on a large scale. It only mobilized when zombies broke out in force. It ignored the occasional zombie that appeared under normal circumstances, which was why humanity was disappearing in such large numbers.
During one large-scale zombie invasion, the organization sent a team to clear them out. After most of the zombies had been dealt with, just as they were preparing to return, the team leader suddenly stopped.
He had seen someone take down nearly twenty zombies all by himself.
After that, the team leader tried every way he could to recruit the man, but neither the higher-ups nor the man himself agreed.
The higher-ups said, "He hasn't gone through the proper procedures, and we don't know how capable he is. We can't just let him join. If the organization's secrets get exposed, we'll be in serious trouble."
So the team leader went to find the man himself.
The man said, "I don't need to."
The team leader was devastated.
