Ace of Diamond: The Golden Generation

A plane crash sent Sawamura Eijun, an ace pitcher in Major League Baseball, back to the age of sixteen, just after graduating junior high. That was the year he was recruited by Seido High, beginning the legendary baseball career that lay ahead of him. [He had no regrets about this life, so why on earth did he inexplicably return to the past? The only explanation is that the God of the World is playing a joke on him!] No matter what, figuring that getting another chance at life was better than nothing, Sawamura nervously opened the door to his old dorm room... "Wait, why are you the one opening the door?!" His seemingly ordinary rebirth threw the timeline into chaos because of a tiny mistake made when he started school as a child. Enrolling a year early, Sawamura lost the childhood friend who had been his classmate at Akagi Junior High, but got to see the once-immature sides of the Seido High upperclassmen who had been in their second and third years. Can Seido High, whose batting lineup has yet to fully mature, and Sawamura, a former ace pitcher with experience but no physical conditioning, earn that sacred ticket to Koshien in the new year? * The timeline starts in the second year of the Yuki generation, with many original third-year characters and original games. * Focuses on Sawamura Eijun. Pairing undecided. There won't be much romance early on, and it will be interwoven with the games. * I'm a beginner, so the writing may be rough. I'm not a baseball expert, and most of what I know comes from Ace of Diamond, so there are bound to be plenty of mistakes. Please bear with me, and feel free to point out any errors. * This is a passion project written purely to indulge my own interests, so it is bound to have many shortcomings. Online connections are a matter of fate, and meeting is fate in itself. Read at your own pace, and if you don't like it, feel free to leave without making a fuss. Theme: A heartfelt fantasy that the Seido we love can create a golden generation.
