About this story:
Jia Yourui is a beauty known far and wide. At seventeen, she's in the prime of her youth.
The pretty young woman was pampered from childhood. Her skin is as white as polished rice, her lips are naturally red, and her thick black hair is as smooth as satin. Her hands are soft and uncalloused. She can't do any heavy work, and gets out of breath after a short run. Whenever she steps outside, she looks like a tender little white fox, so captivating that everyone can't help staring.
A beauty like her sometimes even responds to men's advances.
Her husband is a taciturn cripple, gloomy and quiet.
The men feel all the more sorry for her, and show even less restraint, shamelessly using gifts and favors to get close to her.
But then one day, the little fox goes out to work in the fields? She even starts smiling at her husband, her lovely eyes curving into crescents. She's no longer as cold as she used to be.
The couple go out for a walk together, leaving everyone stunned.
