The Concubine Taken from My Younger Brother

I was one of the people in Second Young Master's household. He was tender with me, and in my heart, I had quietly begun to think of myself as his.

On the night of the old madam's birthday banquet, I carried a lantern toward the side room. As I passed the rockery, someone suddenly dragged me into a stone cave.

It was the eldest young master.

His body was burning hot, his eyes bloodshot. He looked as if he'd been drugged.

I cried and begged him, "I'm Second Young Master's woman. You've got the wrong person..."

But he seemed unable to hear me.

After that night, I was registered as part of the eldest young master's household and became his.

Second Young Master came for me, his eyes red as he tried to take me away.

But the eldest young master wouldn't allow it.

Second Young Master's face went pale, then flushed, but in the end, he couldn't take me through that courtyard gate.

Later, the cousin young lady came to see me. Smiling, she said that she had drugged him that night to clear the way for herself, but I had unexpectedly gotten lucky instead.

She said that I was lowborn, and the eldest young master would marry someone else sooner or later. She told me to know my place and leave of my own accord.

I believed her and packed my things, planning to run away.

But that night, the eldest young master blocked me inside my room.

"What did my cousin tell you?"

Terrified, I told him everything, even that his cousin had drugged him that night.

But he smiled.

He wiped the tears from my face with his thumb and spoke slowly in a low voice:

"Silly girl, I was completely sober that night."

"I didn't mistake you for someone else."

"You're the one I wanted."
