If I Look for Another Boyfriend, I'm a Dog

Maizi got dumped right before graduation. The guy was her boyfriend of a year, a younger student. He said, "You're not gentle enough. You don't know how to take care of me." Maizi flew into a rage and slapped him. "I'll take care of your mom!" After that, Maizi vowed that if she ever dated another younger guy, she'd be a dog! Later: Woof, this is great! Little Scene: When Maizi was in college, she worked at a convenience store and met a boy who was totally her type. He was tall and handsome. The third time he came in to buy something, Maizi worked up the courage to ask for his contact information. The boy took a long time, blushing, before saying he hadn't brought his phone. Maizi figured it was just an indirect rejection. But later, he gave Maizi a phone number, and they got in touch. Only after chatting did she find out he was a freshman, just seventeen years old. Twenty-year-old Maizi was immediately overcome with embarrassment. She apologized, called him "kiddo," and deleted him. Two years later, Maizi went to her best friend's place to get over a breakup. Looking at her best friend's cousin, Maizi found him strangely familiar, but couldn't remember where she'd seen him. Then the boy's tall frame loomed over her, his eyes full of hurt. "Why did you delete me?" #Did you think I was too young?# #I'm an adult now.
