Comfort Zone

1. After an accident took her parents, Chu Hua was sent to live with the Yu family at the age of three. She called his parents Uncle and Auntie, and called him Big Brother, from kindergarten all the way through graduate school.

She was beautiful and popular with boys, but her older brother was handsome too, so she was even more popular with girls. There were endless love letters and endless conversations about her brother.

It had never occurred to her that constantly talking about Yu Qing might be a problem.

Then one day, she found she no longer wanted to give people his contact information.

She became selfish, wanting to spend her whole life quietly holding on to that little secret desire of hers.

She wanted Yu Qing to be her older brother forever.

2. Yu Qing had a little shadow following him everywhere from the age of ten, chasing after him every day and calling him Big Brother Little Fish, with a sweet, innocent look as if she knew nothing of life's hardships.

She was the daughter of his father's friend, and she would be living with their family from now on. It was his job to look after her.

Yu Qing dutifully played the role of a good older brother, staying by the little girl's side as she grew up, watching her go from a soft, adorable little rice cake to a bright and lively young woman.

In elementary and middle school, many boys asked him to pass love letters to her. After he started working, even more people asked him for her contact information.

He never gave it to a single one of them.

When they were kids, it was because his little sister had to focus on her studies and wasn't allowed to date.

Later, it was because if he couldn't have her, then no one else could either.

Chu Hua was Yu Qing's comfort zone. He only felt at ease when she was around.

In this harsh world, Chu Hua was his little cake.
