This exam was no simple matter.
When a blinding white light swept over her, this thought popped into Xin Yue's mind.
On a bus that stopped right on schedule, a roulette wheel decided every day at noon who would stay and who would go, while the entire city was already surrounded by zombies.
Xin Yue ran until she was gasping for breath and starving, and nearly got sent to the afterlife in one bite from a zombie.
"You don't know the way, do you?" Xin Yue asked after someone rescued her.
"Impossible," he denied with absolute certainty.
Xin Yue watched the boy unknowingly head in the opposite direction and silently reaffirmed her judgment.
Yep. He's definitely a terrible sense of direction.
The bus game ended in heavy casualties, and Xin Yue barely survived.
The entire school became a maze. The teachers, numb and indifferent, restricted their freedom, while the bodies floating in the lake drew out a witness who refused to show themselves.
Before Xin Yue could figure out what was going on, she was dragged into another game.
In a game called Wood Manor, players couldn't reveal their identities. Each person had seven chances to reload, but in the end, only one person could survive.
An old friend betrayed her without warning, and she ran into that familiar boy again.
After trying to sound him out several times with no response, Xin Yue gave up.
"Was it you?"
"No," the boy said at once.
Yet Xin Yue stared at his back as he took a wrong turn and fell into thought.
She had to complete her character's storyline, but unexpectedly learned about the secret relationship between the two of them.
Staring at the boy's thin lips, she said, "I don't want to take advantage of you. Circumstances leave me no choice, I swear to heaven."
But someone pulled her around the waist and kissed her until she was dizzy. His cool voice breathed warm air against her ear. "Darling, what are you spacing out for?"
