My new novel, The Runaway Concubine, is now updating. If you're interested, feel free to check it out~
Synopsis
The Yun family had been imperial merchants for generations. Unfortunately, by Yun Shuli's generation, they were all show and no substance. Burdened by internal troubles and external debts, the family arranged her marriage to the Xue family, a household of high-ranking officials, in exchange for ten thousand taels of silver.
It was called a marriage, but in truth, it was to bring good luck to the Xue family's chronically ill old madam.
The other person brought in for the same purpose was the Xue family's eldest son. He was cold and taciturn, and rumors said he was cursed to outlive his wives.
Naturally, this great fortune fell to Yun Shuli, the unlucky girl her family never favored.
But Yun Shuli took it in stride. She was glad to leave that filthy home and enjoy some peace. And no matter how many faults Young Master Xue might have, at least he was truly handsome and polite to others.
Yun Shuli thought that as long as she remembered her place, behaved with virtue and gentleness, and avoided arrogance and jealousy, she could be a pretty ornament and wouldn't have too hard a time.
And that was indeed how things went. Yun Shuli had a peaceful stretch of time, aside from her husband's astonishing stamina at night, so different from his daytime self.
Until one day, she happened upon a slightly worn wooden box in the study. It was filled with letters and notes, and every single one began with the same four words: "My beloved A Li..."
Synopsis Two
Ever since their wedding, Yun Shuli had thought her husband's coldness and taciturn nature were exactly as the rumors described. There was just one difference: he was far too "vain."
If another family's madam embroidered a new sachet, prepared a new jade pendant, or even added a new patch to her clothes, he couldn't bear to be outdone.
But since it was her husband's request, Yun Shuli, as a gentle and virtuous wife, naturally prepared everything for him. She even went one step further: whenever she heard that someone had taken in a beautiful concubine, she immediately sent over the best-looking maid in the household.
After her husband stopped visiting for several days, Yun Shuli felt very pleased with her own virtue and gentleness. She even slept more soundly.
She never expected to wake in the middle of the night and see her husband, who should have been enjoying the company of a gentle beauty, standing by her bed with a face black as the bottom of a pot.
Yun Shuli jumped in fright. Before she could ask anything, he had already taken off his boots and climbed into bed, his voice laced with barely restrained fury.
"Since you have such a good grasp of the news, you must know that the Liu family had a big, healthy boy today..."
A sweet little daily-life story about thinking we'd be a respectful couple, only to discover my husband had been plotting for ages, and eventually finding ourselves mutually devoted.
The leads are both adorable.
I realized I'd mostly been writing stories set before marriage, so this time I'm trying a marriage-first, love-later story.
Pure sweetness, no angst. Dive right in without worry.
Please add my upcoming novel, The Runaway Concubine, to your favorites~
Synopsis One
Marquis's heir Qi Yu took in a beautiful concubine on a whim, unable to turn her away.
The young concubine was not only lovely, with a graceful figure, but also sweet and gentle, never complaining about hardship.
What had started as a moment of compassion became the place Qi Yu turned to whenever he was troubled.
As time went on, Qi Yu really did grow unable to leave her. Gradually, he even forgot why she had begged him to take her in, and began seriously considering convincing his family to bring her into the manor once he took a wife.
But after the young concubine's chronically ill father passed away, only a few days later she died in a fire caused by an accident.
Three years later, while out on business, Qi Yu rescued several children who had nearly been kidnapped by human traffickers. One of them looked remarkably like him and wore a little sachet around their neck, its stitching all too familiar.
Synopsis Two
When Song Yao was sixteen, disaster struck her family, and she nearly ended up sold to a brothel. With nowhere else to turn, she became the concubine of Marquis's heir Qi Yu to support her elderly, sick father and her young sister.
For several years, Song Yao stayed clear-headed. She treated it as a job: take the money, serve her master well, and look after her father and sister.
Once she had properly cared for her father until his death, Song Yao had nothing left to worry about. She promptly took the money and her sister and faked her death to run away.
1. A dramatic pregnancy-and-run story, with the male lead chasing his wife to the crematorium.
2. The heroine is beautiful, the most beautiful in the whole story, the ultimate beauty.
3. One-on-one romance.
Theme: Seeing is believing
How should I put it? I just started reading this book. When I saw this couple in the text, I wanted to see the ending. Although it is not purely sweet, it is still sweet. I hope Bai Hanyue can always be happy and peaceful in the days to come, hahahahaha
Finally waited for this part hahaha
Will there be a side story about the Crown Prince and Crown Princess?
It's so strange. The copywriting has nothing to do with the article [question mark] [question mark]
Could you please tell me which chapter in the text is the plot where the heroine gives the hero a concubine?
The author wrote too little, such a beautiful story should be written until they are old
"He" gave the author a big worm~
her
Finished reading, scatter flowers! I like it so much! There are just a few side stories about Bai Hanyue and Lu Lan. Writing a separate book based on the characters of Lu Lan and Bai Hanyue is definitely YYDS. I really like the bitterness first and then the sweetness. The heroine's secret love comes true.
