The Qing Dynasty Transmigration of Empress Hesheli

Yuan Zhi transmigrates into the Qing imperial harem and becomes Heseri, Kangxi's first wife, who is always remembered in history for dying young. She marries Kangxi, a man who sires sons like a fish scattering its eggs, yet neither of her own sons has a good ending.

One dies at two. The other, after the struggle among the nine princes, sees brothers turn against each other and father and son become enemies, then gets schemed against until not even his bones remain.

Now Yuan Zhi looks at the baby in her arms, the child Heseri bore after a difficult labor and a fatal hemorrhage: the historically infamous deposed Crown Prince, Yinreng. She can't help thinking that she and the baby really have had a miserable lot!

Later, with the definitive answers to the struggle among the nine princes in hand, Yuan Zhi regularly calls the princes over to bond with Yinreng. Who could have guessed that every one of them would become a devoted Yinreng supporter and a textbook yes-man?

Eighth Prince: So I'm the only one standing against Second Brother?

First Prince and the rest of the Yinreng supporters: Yes, you. You're the only one!

Reader's guide:

1. The story won't follow history exactly. It's an alternate-history setting with lots of creative liberties, so please don't nitpick the historical details.

2. People in the past married very young, so their ages will be adjusted upward where appropriate.

3. Thanks for understanding, cuties. Mwah!
