Wei Dongxun has a secret: for a few days every month, he turns into a cat!

Those days aren't easy. One careless moment, and he's caught by a delinquent boy he can't stand. Luckily, someone comes to his rescue!

His savior is talented, handsome, rich, and powerful. All he's missing is a cat.

Wei Dongxun: I suppose I could...

To repay him for saving his life, Wei Dongxun works diligently at pretending to be an ordinary cat. But life is unpredictable. One day, just as he's having fun with his benefactor, his buff suddenly disappears and he turns back into a human!

Wei Dongxun: (?ó﹏ò?)

Benefactor (excited): Cat Immortal!

Wei Dongxun: Uh, should I just play along?

Lin Zhixu loves little animals, but he's completely incompatible with anything fluffy. All he ever gets to see are the furry creatures fleeing in terror.

Just when he'd given up on ever having a fluffy pet of his own, he meets a cat. The kitten is clever and adorable, and most importantly, it's incredibly attached to him.

Lin Zhixu has an epiphany: This is fate!

He thinks he and the kitten have decades of happy days ahead of them, but then one day, the little cat turns into a human!

And the more he looks, the more familiar the guy seems.

Lin Zhixu: Isn't that my deskmate and friend?!

At first, he mourns the loss of his kitten. Later, he's overjoyed to learn that the kitten is his deskmate.

Reader's Guide:

1. The story has both the gong's and shou's perspectives, but is mainly told from the shou's.

2. A school story with fantasy elements, but a gentle, everyday feel. The pacing is slow, especially at the beginning. The protagonists are ordinary people, and nothing particularly serious happens to them.

3. Although it's a school story, the protagonists' studies won't get much attention. They're young, and some of the things that happen to them may seem a little childish.

4. The protagonists' feelings develop quickly, since they start out with a high level of affection for each other, but they don't officially get together until near the end. It's a short, relationship-focused story.

Mr. Polar Bear Falls in Love

There's a strange cafe in Forest Town. The owner can't make coffee or desserts, and the only thing on the menu is an unpleasant-tasting specialty drink.

Business is dead, and the cafe is about to close. With no other choice, Mr. Polar Bear takes the advice of his neighbor, Miss Cat, and puts up a help-wanted ad for a pastry chef.

The ad stays up for ages, but Mr. Polar Bear still can't find a new employee, and the cafe still doesn't have a single customer.

"Maybe I'm really not cut out to run a cafe."

Sighing, Mr. Polar Bear quietly closes the cafe's doors, ready to give up on the shop that never seemed able to open.

That night, as torrential rain pours down, someone knocks on the cafe door.

A little rabbit, soaked through, holds up the help-wanted ad from the door and timidly asks, "Are you still hiring?"
