My Archenemy Husband Has Secretly Been in Love with Me

Chaste gong × proud, alluring shou A short writing exercise. Everything has been planned from the start. Xi Qing and Sheng Rui have been rivals since childhood, and then their families suddenly propose an arranged marriage. Xi Qing: “Fine! Anyone who disagrees is admitting defeat!” Soon, the two register their marriage and begin a loveless life as plastic spouses, leaving early and coming home late with nothing to say to each other. Then, at a banquet one day, Xi Qing hears someone ask Sheng Rui why he agreed to marry him when he’s obviously straight. Sheng Rui replies, “Of course it’s for the benefits.” Unable to stomach being used, Xi Qing, who has always been imperious, makes a bet with his friends. He’ll not only make Sheng Rui fall for him, he’ll also take the most important project from him! From then on, Xi Qing diligently performs all sorts of seduction acts in front of Sheng Rui. What he doesn’t know is that Sheng Rui has secretly loved him for years and used his private influence to make the marriage happen. He didn’t want Xi Qing to hate him even more, so he deliberately kept his distance. But now Xi Qing’s gaze is growing increasingly suggestive, and Sheng Rui wants nothing more than to devour him whole. * Not long afterward, Xi Qing sits relaxed in a bar after sharing a passionate kiss with Sheng Rui in the car. He waves a USB drive at his friend and boasts, “I got the project. I’m divorcing Sheng Rui tomorrow.” Xi Qing turns around, and his smile freezes. Sheng Rui is staring at him with a dark look in his eyes. That night, when they get home, Sheng Rui loses control. Xi Qing has no time to struggle before he’s pinned to the bed. The man’s eyes are dark as he grits out, “Go ahead and try asking for a divorce.” In the middle of the night, Xi Qing’s voice is hoarse from crying as he clutches the bedpost and begs for mercy: “I won’t divorce you! I won’t, okay?!” Note: 1. Short writing exercise. Neither gong nor shou has been with anyone else, and they’re each other’s first love. 2. Blurb written on 2025/6/5 3.
