Yesterday's Morning Glow

Black-hearted sweet girl * sly puppy boy Mutual pining, one-on-one sweet romance, mostly set at school, with a little urban life later on. Fengyi High has two campus heartthrobs. One is the aloof top student Shen Mian; the other is the sunny He Tachao. A week before school starts, He Tachao's beloved skateboard breaks in two in Gu Linxue's hands. A week after school starts, Gu Linxue and Shen Mian become full siblings in everything but blood. Unfortunately, offending Shen Mian is practically the same as offending half the girls at school. Gu Linxue is branded a vixen who covets the Shen family's fortune and Shen Mian himself. Fortunately, He Tachao doesn't yet know what Gu Linxue has done. To avoid offending the other half of the girls at school, Gu Linxue takes on far too much. * One day, He Tachao says sarcastically, "Just going by looks, Shen Mian and I are evenly matched. But I'm approachable and nice to people. So why do girls keep throwing themselves at that ice cube who won't even talk to them?" Gu Linxue: "What, you want girls hanging all over you too?" He Tachao rubs his nose. "I only want one particular person to cling to me." * In the school infirmary, Gu Linxue babbles with a fever. "Shen Mian..." He Tachao, keeping watch beside her, darkens visibly. Then Gu Linxue says something astonishing: "You big idiot." He Tachao is so delighted he can barely stop himself from taking out his phone to record her. Then she says: "He Tachao, I like you." He Tachao's handsome face turns red. He feels like he is about to become a helium balloon and float off into outer space. Theme: About how I thought the girl I liked had a crush on my mortal enemy
