First published on Jinjiang. Please do not repost. Foreign invaders swept in, the dynasty fell, and war raged everywhere. The invaders burned, killed, and looted, leaving the nation shattered, families destroyed, and the people in misery. Yet at this time, the Han aristocratic clans thought not of uniting against the invaders. Instead, they fought among themselves, leading to the destruction of the Yun clan! The annihilation of her clan was a deathly separation; being torn from her elder brother was a living separation. Ten-year-old Yun Jinxiu was trampled into the mud. She clawed her way out and endured every hardship. Later, someone said to her the most beautiful words she had ever heard: "I want you to live!" Born into a troubled age, with the land in ruins and suffering beyond words, even staying alive was a luxury! But Yun Jinxiu did not merely want to survive herself. She wanted everyone in the land to live, too, and to live with dignity! Theme: Those who help themselves will be helped by Heaven; those who help themselves will be helped by others!
