That day, Chang'an City was calm and windless. Xiao Shiqi became a disciple of Shangguan Guli, who gave him a new name: Xiao Chang'an. From then on, Xiao Chang'an had both a name and a warm home. He had no ambitions, until he met Shangguan Guli.
His master treated him well, often guiding him hand over hand and taking him along on his travels. Xiao Chang'an thought he was the gentlest person he'd ever met in his life. He knew his feelings for his master were improper, a grave breach of their relationship, but he couldn't control them.
"Master, forgive your audacious disciple for crossing the line just this once. I want to love you."
