I’ve Missed You for So Many Years

Wu Shuang has been unlucky her whole life. After being laid off, she returns to her county town and scrapes by livestreaming her sob stories. Unexpectedly, her past misfortunes become just the remedy people need for their wounded hearts, and a crowd flocks to her livestream for comfort. While comforting a viewer who'd just been dumped, Wu Shuang tells the story of confessing her feelings to the person she'd loved since school. She gets so caught up in the emotion that she can't stop herself from crying. Someone with the username "The Smartest Person in the World" sends her nine "Cosmic Romance" gifts, instantly becoming her top supporter.

Wu Shuang (livestream ID: Peerless): Thanks for the gift, kind sir. It's not easy making money, so please don't spend it on me.

The Smartest Person in the World: I moved abroad and changed my number back then, so I never got your message. Does your confession still stand?

Viewers fill the chat with comments: Is the male lead here?

Wu Shuang opens his profile and sees the face she's dreamed about for so long. Then she gives the viewers a live demonstration of what it means to die of embarrassment in public.

Her inner thoughts: Is it too late to move to another planet?

Wu Shuang has been secretly in love with someone for years. After her confession was rejected, she developed PTSD and gave up on love. Then that person appears, carefully plotting his way toward her, and turns every misfortune she's ever suffered into a stepping stone toward their grand reunion.

The person in the hospital bed wakes up, only to realize it was all a dream in her final moments.

The sunset outside the window is beautiful. Her eyes move, then she stops breathing.

In reality, she never meets him again. She lives out the rest of her life in the cold of winter.

A gentle reminder:

A bitter pill wrapped in sugar. Bad ending.
