Jiang Shu had quietly loved Fu Lang, a boy in her class, ever since middle school.
Fu Lang was an excellent student, tall and handsome, the brightest star in their grade.
Jiang Shu had every reason to like him.
Like all the other girls, Jiang Shu secretly had a crush on Fu Lang. She was just lucky enough to scrape into the best high school in town on her high school entrance exams, and end up at the same school as him.
Jiang Shu was in Class Ten at the back, while Fu Lang was in Class One at the front. The first and last classes were next door to each other.
Just as Jiang Shu was wondering how she could manage to walk by in the most graceful way, she found a letter in her desk!
An unsigned letter.
One every day, come rain or shine.
Whenever she was about to catch the person leaving them, the letters would stop. Jiang Shu was so spooked that she no longer dared try to find out who it was.
It wasn't until she got into the best university in the city, with help from an anonymous pen pal, that Jiang Shu found out who had kept sending her letters.
It was Fu Lang.
Later, after they got together, Jiang Shu asked Fu Lang why he had written to her, and why he had written every single day. Had he fallen for her?
Fu Lang said, "I came back in this life just for you. How could I not treat my wife well?"
Fu Lang's voice was a little low when he said the first sentence, and Jiang Shu didn't hear him clearly, so she asked again.
Fu Lang stroked her hair and said, "Don't overthink it. You only need to know that I love you."
