After Marrying the General

Shen Sizhao had always had everything go his way, until the day of his twentieth birthday, when his life was turned upside down: his boyfriend betrayed him, and his family teetered on the brink of bankruptcy.

By a twist of fate, he was forced into an engagement with Huo Qiao, the empire's undefeated god of war, according to rumor.

He had long heard that Huo Qiao already loved someone, and had even rejected a general's arranged marriage for the sake of the person in his heart. Marrying him was nothing more than an act of coercion.

So he followed the rules and never crossed the line.

Until one day, he realized that every misfortune that had befallen him seemed to be intricately connected to the other man...

The first time Huo Qiao saw Shen Sizhao, the latter had just won first place in the military academy alliance's mecha repair competition.

Amid deafening cheers, Shen Sizhao sat atop the mecha with a faint smile, basking in his moment of glory.

The next time Huo Qiao saw Shen Sizhao, a handsome man had him pressed against a pane of glass, kissing him.

He stood on the other side of the one-way glass, watching without expression.

In an instant, desire surged through him.

A melodramatic, sweet little story.
