In Yanba Hutong, everyone says Zhao Liqing is stupid, pretty face notwithstanding. Instead of climbing into the good graces of some high-ranking family from the compound, she's chosen Song Mian, a penniless man.
Only Zhao Liqing knows that marrying into the compound isn't so easy. In her previous life, before she could even get close to that influential family, the other party's mother came to her house and berated her, then went around ruining her reputation.
Once her reputation was ruined, she lost her job too. Her mother fell ill over the whole ordeal and died young. That family ruined her entire life.
Reborn, she has no interest in currying favor with some powerful family. She just wants to keep her distance and live a peaceful, happy life with her family.
Song Mian is penniless, but he has one good quality: he's considerate toward her, and he dies young.
Being a widow is great. Widows don't get pressured to marry, and can stay single for life.
Unfortunately, she waited her whole life and became the chairwoman of a corporation, but still never became a widow.
A slice-of-life story about the Zhao family, focusing on everyday family matters, with a light and healing tone.

Blurb:
Jiang Ying is transmigrated into the body of the youngest daughter of Division Commander Jiang, who was brought home from the countryside.
In the original story, she was just like her name: a pretty face, but fussy, affected, stupid, and shallow, a shameless green tea girl through and through.
Five years after returning to the city, her family despises her, her promising fiance breaks off their engagement, and even her own mother can't stand her. Her mother publicly announces that she is cutting ties with her, and Jiang Ying eventually dies by suicide in tragic circumstances.
When she wakes up, the damage has already been done, and the broken engagement is already on the agenda...
Jiang Ying is at a loss. What kind of hellish start is this?
She neither cries nor makes a fuss, but simply keeps her door shut every day.
Everyone thinks she's too embarrassed to leave the house after this humiliation, that her reputation is ruined, and that she'll probably end up marrying some ordinary family.
Jiang Ying leaves the house, gets into the cultural troupe, and becomes its one and only female lead performer.
The works she produces even make it overseas and reach an international audience... She becomes a sensation in the entertainment world and a renowned artist in Huaguo.
Family life with the Jiangs, a doting male lead, respect for the heroine's career, no children, and the entire Jiang family faces karmic retribution.
Theme: It's never too late to turn back
Is this a mess? I'm really speechless, what I wrote before is quite good.
To be honest, if a man can't convince his mother, he might as well get a divorce. Even if he goes back to his hometown, he will meet again. Who should he resist? He is in love. He got pregnant before marriage, which makes him lose his confidence from the beginning.
The author's writing is quite good, but I feel like it's not finished... It would be perfect if he writes more.
Bad ending? Forced ending?
No more updates? If you don't want to change it, just solve v.
Huihui's husband is so disgusting
What a weird flower, shameless and with a big hole in your brain.
I haven't watched it for a long time. Who is "Zhao Libang"?
Damn, do I have to take leave during the break? Or tell me when it will be updated?
Too little, not enough to see
