The Huimo family worships the Earth Spider, and for generations, their goal has been to resurrect that great being. But the conditions are so exacting that this ancestral ambition has nearly become a fantasy. According to the old teachings, only the Huimo family's bloodline, joined with the Six Eyes, can give birth to an Earth Spider.
As everyone knows, the Six Eyes appear only once in a century. Huimo Naozumi assumed she would be like the Huimo family heads of the past, who died with their hopes unfulfilled, and would never have to actually honor the pact... But when she was five, her adoptive mother brought her devastating news:
The Six Eyes had been born into the Gojo family.
Note: The Huimo family setting comes from the mystery game Terror Loop, but I've heavily modified it. Other than their vow to resurrect the Earth Spider at all costs, it has little to do with the original.
