[Big news!
"Raise Your One and Only" is about to launch its open beta!]
A game company has released a new pet-raising game. Sunatou Naomi falls in love at first sight with a certain blond, blue-eyed boy in the game. But as soon as she starts playing, she gets hit with a shock:
[Warning! Your boy has a persistent high fever and is about to die!]
The boy's starting environment, Meteor City, is so horrid that Naomi has no choice but to spend money through tears to improve his living conditions.
Thanks to the power of money, the boy grows up healthy and makes friends. He even teaches himself to assemble electronic devices from discarded parts. He no longer needs her help.
Melancholy, Naomi gives the young man one last present.
She clicks Delete Game.
A few days later, she opens her front door and comes face-to-face with a blond, blue-eyed adult man standing in her living room. He holds a broken game device in his hand, and his smiling expression is exactly like his portrait in the game.
"Naomi, are you mad?"
"You're just as soft as I imagined."
"Why are you crying? Didn't you always say you liked me best?"
"It's fine. You're cute when you cry, too."
The blond man affectionately wraps an arm around her shoulders from behind and leans down, his thumb pressing lightly against the hollow of her neck. From a distance, they look like lovers whispering sweet nothings to each other.
"You don't need to do anything special."
His green eyes turn a deep, shadowy hue, like a whirlpool in the depths of the sea, or perhaps more like a bottomless abyss.
Then he smiles, giving off the predatory aura of a spider:
"Naomi, all you have to do... is stay by my side and behave."
