Xiao Yufei transmigrates into a story as the fake young master, a green-tea male supporting character whose sole purpose is to highlight his younger brother, the real young master, and his straightforward kindness.
His younger brother has just been brought home by their parents and is adored by everyone. In everyone's eyes, he's kind, innocent, and lovable.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yufei is hated by everyone for being two-faced and manipulative. His brother constantly outshines and humiliates him, and he meets a tragic end.
By all rights, after transmigrating into the story, he should have seen the error of his ways. But he refuses.
He'll be even more manipulative!
His younger brother smashes a bowl and deliberately hurts himself, hoping to frame Xiao Yufei in front of their parents.
Xiao Yufei rushes forward first, all concern. "Your skin is so delicate, little brother. How could you be so careless? Unlike me, I'm tough and hardy. Leave this sort of work to me."
His older brother intends to hand a company project to their younger brother, and everyone expects Xiao Yufei to lose it.
Instead, Xiao Yufei says magnanimously, "My little brother is young and inexperienced. As his older brother, I ought to give him more opportunities."
His younger brother is determined to get close to the Shen Group. He steals the engagement that was originally meant for Xiao Yufei, then brings his fiance, Shen Lanwei, to show off in front of him.
Xiao Yufei puts on a pitiful, fragile act. "My younger brother is young and beautiful, with plenty of romantic experience. Unlike me, I've never dated anyone, and I can't even hold on to my fiance."
At last, his younger brother snaps. "What are you putting on that act for?!"
