For a school speech event, the senior class nominated Ye Jinze and Cheng Xiangyou. They sat with people from different classes and grades, and each person had to go onstage and deliver a speech prepared by the school.
After Cheng Xiangyou finished her speech, the teacher suddenly asked, "What are you good at?" Cheng Xiangyou froze. She was mediocre at everything she'd learned.
"Public speaking..." she said quietly. The teacher didn't look very impressed, and Cheng Xiangyou knew she'd been rejected.
Ye Jinze was next. The teacher asked him the same question, and he answered, "Drawing." The teacher's expression immediately changed.
When they returned to class, Cheng Xiangyou asked him, "How come I never knew you were good at drawing?" Ye Jinze replied casually, "Because drawing doesn't require a live performance."
"How did I not think of that..."
