In the play they perform together, Severa, Zhong Qiao's exceptional voice brings the king who is infatuated with a goddess to life. He sounds so sincere that it seems as if he really is consumed by an impossible love, leaving everyone amazed. Jiang Miao does her best to help, and the two of them work together perfectly to deliver a brilliant performance. On the night their performance is a huge success, the power suddenly goes out for ten seconds in the lively private room where they're celebrating. In the darkness, Jiang Miao grabs the person's hand with pinpoint accuracy, only for them to clasp hers even more tightly in return. Jiang Miao once casually plucked a flower from a high cliff, then let it go without a second thought. It takes her a long time to realize that what she plucked wasn't a cool, elegant beauty, but a secretive and dangerous man-eating flower. This flower feeds on its greedy, possessive desire for her. As far as Zhong Qiao is concerned, he has always harbored countless hidden desires for Jiang Miao. He once longed to become her family, and wished to be bound to her by blood. In the end, all he wants is to be the one she favors above everyone else. He hopes that, from the past into the future, they will be each other's unspoken, unspeakable secret. Content warnings: 1.
